The SOAR Mission

School Band Development

SOAR will be a development resource for the future marching band at Banks Academy and other schools throughout the Birmingham community. By developing the instrument skills in individual students, the students will be prepared to play in the Banks Academy Band, and if they attend another school, it will help to prepare them for the band at their school.

Develop and Encourage Musicianship

By preparing students for recitals, students will develop musicianship skills which will help them to become professional in any form of performance.

Develop Music and Media Production Skills

SOAR students will learn elements of media production including skills in content creation, production, and networking.
